The “Cottage Cruiser” is a 28ft pontoon boat that is available to “The Boathouse Cottage” guests…It is parked at the cottage dock and ready to embark at a moments notice…Leave no one behind!…Seating 14, this pontoon boat has room for the whole family…Load up the dock cart with a cooler full of your favorite beverages and snacks, pile in the beach towels and sun screen, and head out to the boat…Whether you prefer sun or shade, the pontoon offers both…The seating area is covered by a ¾ stationary canopy, while the front deck is open for sunbathing and swimming access…You’ll enjoy a calm breeze as you leisurely cruise the shoreline in your spacious cocktail boat with multiple seating options…You’ll love the quiet 4 stroke motor…Partake in conversation with minimal motor noise, and enjoy the sights of the lakeshore dotted with cottages, boats, and wild life…Half-way around the lake you’ll come upon a park, where you can pull the boat right up onto the beach…The park has a manicured, grassy landscape with mature trees…It is outfitted with a boardwalk (out over the water), picnic tables, restrooms, pavilion, paved sidewalks, paved parking, and play equipment with sand under foot…Unpack your cooler and enjoy a picnic in the park, and then tire the kids at the adjacent playground…When you are ready to go, just board the boat and push off…Enjoy the remainder of your ride around the lake and pull right up to your dock…When you disembark, the dock cart will be waiting for you to unload the cooler, towels, etc. and assist you with ferrying it all back to the
cottage

Inclusions
- 30 minute mandatory demonstration (presence of primary driver required)…The following will be covered: Motor operation, boating laws and requirements, sand bars, navigation, docking, acquire key.
- One full tank of gas (should be more than enough for the week)

Coast Guard Regulations
- Driver must be born before or in 1978 to drive pontoon boat without boater safety card
- Driver must posses a valid boater safety card if born after 1978 (and be at least 25 years of age to drive pontoon boat)
- Driver must carry valid driver’s license
- Driver cannot consume alcoholic beverages while operating the motor craft.
- One life jacket per passenger on board required
- One throw device total on board required
- While under way, all passengers must be inside fenced area

Restrictions
- Use of the pontoon boat is restricted to the lake (Pattawottomie Bayou) only. (Going under the bridge and into the Grand River is inhibited by the canopy on the boat and prohibited by the owners of the boat.)
- Use during daylight hours only.
Gas
- Refueling is done by “The Boathouse Cottage” staff only (Just call for a refuel if needed).
