Things To Do
 | Boating:
Located waterside you will find a small fleet of
recreational boats including a paddleboat, kayaks, canoes
and a fourteen foot aluminum row boat with
oars and motor. Walk just a few steps to the
water's edge and board any one of the kayaks
or canoes for a peaceful early morning tour
of the bayou and its many coves abounding
with wild life. Or take a leisurely,
afternoon paddle with the kids. If fishing
appeals to you, motor into one of the coves
and reel in the catch of the day. You can
always fish right off your own private dock!
Common place are large and small mouth bass,
blue gill, pike, pan fish, and other various
species. |
| Pottawatomie
Park is down & across the lake. It
features grassy landscaped grounds, sandy
beach, boardwalk out over the water, paved paths through the
woods, playground equipment, pavilion and
restrooms. The park can be accessed by water
via the pontoon boat and motor boat. |
| Bocce Ball: To
keep the fun out of doors, bocce ball is a
relaxing, yet competitive yard game that
will entertain for hours. Your spectators
can gather on the patio swings and watch the
game play out while you and a partner use
skill and luck to get ahead of the
competition. The playing field is located waterside,
and the balls are provided. |
| Barbecuing:
For the ultimate barbecuing party two large
gas grills compliment the main deck which is
furnished for dining. Enough room for the steaks and kabobs, as
well as the corn grilled right in the husks! |
| Fire Pit:
The fire pit area is complete with long
utensils for roasting hot-dogs and
marshmallows while sitting fire side in
Adirondack chairs. Relax around the fire and
tell stories while the kids roast
marshmallows in preparation for S'mores. |
| Ping Pong:
Located in the game room, the Ping Pong
table is set up for all to enjoy. It's a
great activity that the whole family can
participate in. Play an evening tournament
and get everyone involved. |
| Billiards:
Located in the game room, a 7-foot,
bar-sized pool table is outfitted with all
of the necessary accessories. After the kids
are in bed, strike up a game of pool and
burn the midnight oil! |
| Basketball:
For your competitive nature or to tire the
kids, the free standing basketball hoop is
located adjacent to the game room with a
large slab of cement to play on. The
basketballs are provided, so team up with
your closest relatives and take on the
others. |
| Piano:
If anyone in your party is musically
inclined or would like to become so, an up
right piano is at your fingertips and
located in the game room for evening sing-alongs. |
| VCR/DVD:
Bring along your favorite movies and the
kids' too. For your viewing pleasure, a VCR
player is located in the living room and a
VCR/DVD player is located in the family room. |
| Lounging:
If R&R is what you are seeking, sit with
a cool drink on the deck overlooking the
water, or relax on the shaded patio swings
and watch your fellow guests play in the
boats out on the water. There is also a
large hammock located waterside. Sink in
and enjoy the setting sun as the boats pass
by, or just kick back and catch up on your
favorite read. One better, warm up in front
of the fieldstone fireplace, while sipping from a mug
of hot chocolate after a full day of
activity out on the water. This feature is
especially appealing to our spring and fall
guests.
